Engineer II/III

As an Engineer II or III, you’ll work independently on projects and technical assignments that directly impact our operations. Your extensive knowledge of processes and ability to evaluate, innovate and handle numerous projects are vital to this role. You may be asked to prepare and deliver presentations and lead small, specialized teams to identify and resolve technical and project management issues! Responsibilities/Expectations: Performs a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfactionWorks independently on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operationsMaintains a strong understanding of industry and operational requirementsDemonstrates in-depth knowledge of safety requirements, produces results and meets goalsExhibits proficiency in Company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agenciesPrepares and delivers presentations to individualsInterprets internal/external customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies responsesWorks on a combination of engineering specialties covering more than one subject areaCollaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needsChampions processes, procedures and safety standardsServes as a primary engineering resource for assigned natural gas treating, compression, and related operating facilities Partners closely with Operations and Maintenance to understand facility performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify engineering needs and improvement opportunities Develops engineering solutions and facility improvements from initial need through alternatives evaluation, scope development, preliminary design, cost estimating, and technical justification Provides hands-on engineering support for equipment and facility issues, including field walkdowns, outages, modifications, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industryWe welcome candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences — if you don’t meet every qualification, this role may be filled at a level that aligns with your skills and growth potential Other Requirements: Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skillsPreferred: FE CertificationPreferred: Project Management experiencePreferred: Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS or ProMax) , Works independently on mid-sized projects or technical assignments supporting operations including technical and economic evaluation, performance testing, design and construction of new facilities, or upgrading existing facilities, and research on new technology or applications. Takes a leadership position in forming small, specialized teams of operations or contract personnel to identify and solve technical and project management issues.
