Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all new construction projects (commercial and residential), guiding customers through every phase—from design and planning to execution and close-out.
  • Design a power delivery plan and prepare construction prints for each project utilizing engineering skills and several design tools.
  • Cook up with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to facilitate timely and effective project delivery.
  • Foster a team environment, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless project progression and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally, keeping all parties informed and maintaining transparency throughout the project.
  • Demonstrate strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • Engineer II: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
  • Engineer III: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. Minimum 4 years of engineering experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering degrees preferred.
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
  • Understanding of basic principles of project management.
  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • Department specific experience applicable to the hiring department.
  • Experience with CAD software, PoleForeman, and/or Maximo.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
