Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day reliability engineering support, including equipment reliability monitoring, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and downtime tracking to reduce unplanned equipment failures.
- Partner with maintenance to develop and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and assist in tracking reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE) to improve asset performance and equipment uptime.
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by assisting in troubleshooting equipment and process issues and identifying root causes.
- Monitor equipment and process performance and analyze operational data to identify reliability and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Aid in the implementation of reliability and process improvements to increase equipment uptime, efficiency, and product quality.
- Collect and analyze equipment and process data to support engineering evaluations, reliability improvement initiatives, and operational decision-making.
- Support execution of engineering projects, including reliability and process improvements, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects.
- Aid in equipment evaluation, testing, installation, and startup activities.
- Participate in process trials, validation activities, and engineering studies.
- Support development and updates of technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, work instructions, and engineering reports.
- Ensure engineering documentation aligns with internal quality and regulatory standards.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational and project objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving process efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting cost optimization.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a complex chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment. Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or industrial environments will be considered.
- Exposure: Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and experience working with engineering data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.).
- Knowledge: Exposure to reliability engineering concepts (e.g., preventive/predictive maintenance, root cause failure analysis, FMEA) and familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, or automation systems; experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively across functions and organizational levels. Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while independently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

Compensation And Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $30.70–$46.05. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
