Engineer I
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinated Work Review: Review roadway construction plans for conflicts and needed system maintenance.
- Planning System Facility Replacements: Research internal records and assess system conditions for planning replacements.
- Project Communication and Internal Coordination: Coordinate design priorities, capital construction, operations installation concerns, manpower requirements, materials procurement, permit applications, etc.
- Project Design and Estimating: Design replacement and betterment projects, develop complete and constructable design packages, and cost estimates.
- Project Management: Monitor project progress, ensure timely permit and material acquisition, assist in project closeout, and review as-built documentation.
- Engineering Operational Support/After Hours On-Call: Provide day-to-day engineering support during abnormal operating conditions, help develop emergency response plans.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of engineering and construction techniques, and natural gas industry regulations, materials, practices, and procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, especially mapping and technical programs.
- Knowledge or experience in project management desired.
- Background in AutoCAD or other computer aided design programs desired.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Company Representation
- Represent the Company at construction and/or utility meetings.
Special Assignments/Projects
- Complete all other work assignments and special projects as directed.
