About the role
The Engineer I is responsible for all support activities related to connection design and development.
Responsibilities
- Generate plans and reports for assigned projects and tasks
- Perform tasks associated with engineering projects, including analysis and development work
- Conduct required engineering calculations
- Create, review, and maintain engineering drawings
- Perform physical testing and evaluate results
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Ensure engineering outputs meet customer input requirements and specifications
- Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality departments
- Assist Quality with evaluation and disposition of non-conforming parts
- Participate in patent-related activities as needed
- Engage in professional organizations and industry-related activities
- Communicate and brief the Manager of Engineering on relevant issues and project status
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in engineering design, calculations, and technical documentation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Qualifications
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
- Familiarity with physical testing methods and standards
- Prior experience in manufacturing or product development environments
