Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and repair of various aircraft components, both electrical and mechanical, using manual and automatic measuring equipment.
- Create, revise, and review designs using SolidWorks 3D CAD Software platform and /or Altium PCB software.
- Create, design electrical or mechanical test fixtures and create written procedures.
- Research, collect data, and work with design teams to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify techniques, procedures and criteria to solve problems.
- Aid in supplier selection to manufacture fabricated or PMA parts.
- Release and maintain engineering documentation in a Product Lifecycle Management System.
Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- College graduation with degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Further knowledge and witnessed practice of company core values.
- Knowledge of document change control processes including Engineering Change Orders, Change Control Board practices and general revision control.
- Must be comfortable working alone or in a team environment.
- Must understand the importance of quality of work and maintain a high level of excellence and integrity when completing projects.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C, Python, C# and VB.Net.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) practices and familiarity with ISO certifications.
- Ability to understand regulatory requirements for airworthiness in accordance with FAA and various foreign authorities.
- Experience in quality control and new product development within the aviation industry.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering and safety equipment.
