About the role
Responsible for the engineering, design, and technical oversight during construction of projects for the gas distribution network.
Responsibilities
- Design of gas main replacement projects for the distribution network
- Prioritize work and manage multiple projects on time and within budget
- Effectively communicate project information with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform all aspects of role function in line with corporate process safety procedures
- Identify and specify materials to be used in association with gas construction projects
- Identify and acquire the necessary permits, licenses, and land rights associated with assigned projects
- Negotiate and manage commercial contracts with third parties and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
- 2+ years of engineering or project management experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship
Due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).
Pay
$115,000 - $135,000 a year
