Responsibilities
- Makerepairs to hotel air conditioning system: changefilters, cleancoils, replacemotors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC-Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, electrical, etc.).
- Takerequiredreadingsonequipment.
- Testcoolingtowerandrecordreadings.
- Replaceandprogramtelevisionsnasneeded.
- Replacelightswitches, receptacles, lightbulbsandfixtures.
- Performfurniturerepair.
- Replaceandrepairpumps.
- Performplumbingrepairs(i.e.cloggeddrains, copperpipe, changewashers, changehandles, drainfitting, etc).
- Understandandbeabletoreadblueprintsandwiringdiagrams.
- Traceandrepairalltypesofwaterlines.
- Troubleshootandrepairkitchenequipment.
- Maintainrepairandpreventivemaintenancerecords.
- Performandmaintainworktolocal, state and Federalcodes.
- Test, clean and repair swimming pools and spas.
- Paintdesignatedareas.
- Repairandsfinishsheetrock.
- Repairandprogramhotelelectroniclocksystem.
Qualifications
- HighSchooldiplomaorequivalentand/orexperienceinahotelorarelatedfieldrequired.
- Atleastoneyearofprogressiveexperienceinahotelorrelatedfieldpreferred.
- Tradeschooland/orCollegecourseworkinrelatedfieldhelpful.
- Flexibleandlonghourssometimesrequired.
- Heavywork-Exertinginexcessof100poundsofforceoccasionally, and/orinexcessof50poundsofforcefrequentlyand/orinexcessof20pounds.
- Mustbeabletoeffectivelycommunicatebothverballyandwritten,withalllevelsofemployeesandguestsinanattentive, friendlycourteouseandserviceorientedmanner.
- Mustbeeffectivetolistenton, understand, and clarifyconcernsraisedbyemployeesandguests.
- Mustbeabletomultitaskandprioritizedepartmentalfunctiionstometdeadlines.
- Ateachattentiontoallencounterswithguestsandemployeesinanattentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
