About the Role
This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or Project Engineer, the Engineer will perform the following items for projects which would include water distribution, pumping, and treatment systems and/or wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment:
- Design calculations;
- Bid documents including specifications and drawings;
- State, federal, and local permit applications;
- Fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, and construction observation;
- Contribute to reports describing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts.
- Use technical software to support wastewater or drinking water projects;
- Use AutoCAD to support planning and design;
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
- May provide on-the-job training and mentoring for interns.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
- EIT certification preferred. If working toward EIT, should obtain within the first year of employment
- Experience with AutoCAD is required
- GIS experience is a plus
- Relevant co-op or internship experience is a strong plus
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Proficient in MS Office software
- Valid driver's license with clean driving history
