  • Identify, cultivate, and support third-party fundraisers (e.g., community-initiated events, awareness campaigns).
  • Review and respond to third party event applications and inquiries.
  • Represent Ronald McDonald House at third-party events and serve as the primary point of contact for hosts.
  • Own and track third-party event revenue goals; provide regular reporting on progress.
  • Serve as the lead liaison for volunteers supporting signature and third-party events.
  • Ensure all volunteers are trained, scheduled, and supported for a mission-driven experience.
  • Develop event-specific volunteer role descriptions and logistics plans.
  • Collaborate with Director of Development to create event communication plans and social media outreach regarding signature events.
  • Create and schedule event-related and third-party fundraising posts via social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with the Executive team to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
  • Support distribution of newsletters, campaign updates, and event communications.
  • Assist in planning and execution of giving society recognition events (such as the Grand Givers Celebration).
  • Provide donor stewardship support, particularly for lower-level donors, through timely communications and engagement.
  • Provide logistical and coordination support for Leadership Board activities and meetings.
  • Support board engagement during key events and internal celebrations.
  • Recruit for, develop and oversee Teen Board as relevant.
  • Collaborate with local McDonald’s restaurants to promote the Round-Up for Ronald McDonald House initiative and steward local store managers to encourage and drive revenue through this program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness about the Round-Up for Ronald McDonald House program, increasing participation and support from the local community.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising event coordination, or community engagement.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and community-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with solid time management and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/Event Software (Greater Giving, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and Canva).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
  • Office-based with expectation to be out in community as well.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods at events.
