ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains and enhances quality standards for production facility and inspection lab.
• Investigates immediate causes of non-conformances internally and externally.
• Assists in implementing and following up on corrective actions to ensure they are effective.
• Works collaboratively to train production and inspection staff on quality standards.
• Applies statistical techniques and design of experiments to identify causes and develop corrective measures for non-conformances and line improvement projects.
• Interacts with customers, production, inspection, and engineering teams to gather and provide feedback on non-conformances and process improvements.
• Maintains and monitors corrective action implementation and obtains customer approval through part submissions.
• Evaluates the effectiveness and feasibility of inspection standards using statistical techniques as needed.
• Gathers product and part history knowledge by participating in high-volume production trials and start-of-production activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: One to two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to inquiries and complaints; ability to write speeches and articles; ability to present information to top management and public groups; ability to work with complex mathematical and statistical concepts; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret technical instructions and diagrams; ability to comprehend and apply advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory; ability to work with abstract and concrete variables; ability to define and solve complex problems; ability to define and solve complex problems independently.
• Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Other Skills: People skills are essential.
• Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, sits, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds; talks or hears.
