ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in machine engineering in design/fabrication of custom equipment.
• Includes mechanical assembly, pneumatic plumbing and panel wiring.
• Design and fabrication of simple machines.
• Assist engineer and/or outside contractors in installation of new equipment.
• Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints.

• Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in technical field or three or more years of relative experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra and trigonometry.
• Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
