Role Overview
The Energy Key Account Manager II is responsible for winning and growing a portfolio of complex, strategic customer accounts while driving profitable revenue growth and long‑term partnerships. This role serves as a senior‑level individual contributor who operates with a high degree of autonomy, providing commercial leadership, strategic planning, and execution across assigned key accounts. The Key Account Manager II works cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams to develop and execute account strategies that align customer needs with Wilbur‑Ellis solutions, ensuring sustainable growth and acceptable return on investment for both the customer and the company.
What You'll Do in This Role
- Win, manage, and expand relationships with key Energy accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted business partner
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, including growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and long‑term partnership objectives
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and lead efforts to expand product and service penetration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align resources, resolve issues, and deliver customer‑focused solutions
- Provide pricing, forecasting, and sales planning input to support territory and account performance
- Analyze account performance, market trends, and customer data to inform strategy and decision‑making
- Lead customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations, influencing outcomes without formal authority
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to credit, pricing, contracts, and risk management
- Represent the voice of the customer internally, sharing insights that inform product, service, and process improvements
What You Bring to the Role
- 7+ years of progressive sales, account management, or commercial experience, including experience managing complex or strategic accounts
- Deep working knowledge of industrial chemicals with Oil & Gas market applications
- Experience with upstream activities, raw materials, and inhibitors
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and building long‑term customer relationships
- Strong business acumen with experience in pricing, margin management, forecasting, and sales planning
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable account strategies
- Experience working cross‑functionally to deliver customer solutions
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales performance tools
- Willingness to travel as required to support customer relationships

Compensation and Benefits
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $145,600 - $204,030. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
