Energy Engineering Lead

Are you passionate about driving innovation in the energy sector and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future? VHB is seeking a visionary Energy Engineering Lead to spearhead our growing Energy Evolution Practice.

Responsibilities

• Design substation structures and foundations.
• Collaborate with multidiscipline internal and external project teams.
• Develop/review civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and specifications.
• Document and track action items and deliverables.
• Procure major/minor civil/structural materials and prepare material takeoffs.
• Monitor project financial performance.
• Perform field visits and site inspections.
• Manage work and professional development of junior-level staff.
• Manage small, medium, and large projects.
• Develop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering/Structural (MS may be substituted for 2 years of relevant experience).
• Minimum 8-11 years experience of commercial experience in civil/structural engineering.
• Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.
• Experience with any of the following software a plus: RISA-3D, PLS-CADD, LPILE, & MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Experience with investor-owned utilities required.
• Experience in developing and compiling/producing project drawings, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports.
