Position Summary
We are seeking to hire an experienced Lead Energy Engineer in our Woodbridge, N.J. office, with 5+ years' experience in the energy sector, strong technical competency, and the ability to lead projects from auditing through implementation.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and execute ASHRAE Level I-III energy audits.
- Conduct onsite inspections, data collection and measurement and verification.
- Develop detailed engineering analyses and ECM calculations.
- Provide design support and review technical drawings.
- Cookordinate project activities with clients and contractors.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals and documentations.
- Mentor junior engineers for growth and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering field.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is required.
- Strong knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and controls systems and energy codes.
- Must reside in New Jersey.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License is required.
- PE desired or in progress.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, grasp, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; talk and hear; use repetitive motions.
- The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- The employee must have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading and visual inspections of site plans.
Work Environment
- The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- The employee is subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and electrical current.
