About the role

The Energy Efficiency Program Delivery Lead will drive strategy and decision-making for the Delivery team on all assigned contracts. Accountable for program execution, this role directly manages relationships with utility clients and program partners while collaborating cross-functionally to meet and exceed client expectations. This highly visible position plays a critical role in our expansion in the Northeast region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple large-scale programs from conception through execution, ensuring compliance with budget constraints and timelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements through Quarterly Business Reviews and regular client touchpoints.
  • Own the commercial terms of each assigned client, managing scope and pricing within contractual bounds.
  • Assist with business development initiatives, including proposal content review, interview preparation, and presentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including external partners, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
  • Communicate clearly about program initiatives, performance metrics, and tactical updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the customer experience.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional cohorts through process improvement initiatives to ensure timely delivery of milestones by managing resources effectively.
  • Create and maintain reports for clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure visibility into program data, providing clear takeaways and recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • 5+ years in direct client-facing roles (business development, program implementation, or account management).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor communications to audiences across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Fastidious attention to detail.
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Pay

The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $96,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and location. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
