About the role
Energy New England is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Energy Auditor to focus on ENE’s Massachusetts clients located in Middlesex and Essex counties. This non-sales position offers work-life balance with a Monday–Friday work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and multi-family energy audits using ENE-designated software.
- Compile detailed work recommendations for customers and contractors on energy-efficiency measures, including heat pumps, weatherization, and other beneficial electrification.
- Provide infrared scans (IR) as part of the energy audit when weather permits.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to customers on issues related to energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues related to energy usage.
- Prepare detailed energy assessment reports for residents and make recommendations about available rebate programs.
- Work requires periods of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Occasional physical exertion, including lifting objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of similar experience.
- BPI Building Analyst Certification preferred—will sponsor the right candidate.
- Familiarity with commercially available audit software (SnuggPro preferred).
- Reliable vehicle to travel to audits.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, current personal automobile insurance, and consent to a CORI background check.
- Travel frequently within assigned territory; flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime as necessary.
