About the role

Energy New England is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Energy Auditor to focus on ENE’s Massachusetts clients located in Middlesex and Essex counties. This non-sales position offers work-life balance with a Monday–Friday work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential and multi-family energy audits using ENE-designated software.
  • Compile detailed work recommendations for customers and contractors on energy-efficiency measures, including heat pumps, weatherization, and other beneficial electrification.
  • Provide infrared scans (IR) as part of the energy audit when weather permits.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to customers on issues related to energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues related to energy usage.
  • Prepare detailed energy assessment reports for residents and make recommendations about available rebate programs.
  • Work requires periods of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasional physical exertion, including lifting objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of similar experience.
  • BPI Building Analyst Certification preferred—will sponsor the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with commercially available audit software (SnuggPro preferred).
  • Reliable vehicle to travel to audits.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, current personal automobile insurance, and consent to a CORI background check.
  • Travel frequently within assigned territory; flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime as necessary.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
