Essential Responsibilities
- Oversees and coordinates compassionate services within region; modeling behavior consistent with mission, policies, and code of ethics
- Recruits, interviews, and hires staff as approved
- Provides training, oversight and leadership to staff
- Determines work assignments, priorities, and procedures for staff; ensuring quality and quantity of work
- Supports casework goals and program success measures, monitoring and managing case worker performance, relational issues, equitable coverage of service areas, effectiveness of interventions, and outcome achievement
- Aids in trainings and presentations, and collaborates on regional communications for internal staff and stakeholders
- Builds positive relationships with regional vendors and community partners
- Responds to inquiries from all stakeholders, vendors, community partners, and applicants, documenting and resolving issues that may arise; communicates with internal staff regarding problems or delays.
- Aid in the identification and implementation of solutions
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience. Master's degree (preferred)
- Two or more years of management experience in human services
- Understanding of low-income populations (preferred)

- Learn and adhere to The Salvation Army Social Services Code of Ethics
- Adherence to professional code of ethics
- Understand and adhere to professional boundaries within and outside of the organization
- Maintain client confidentiality and obtain appropriate releases of information
- Demonstrate a continued effort to increase self-awareness and to better understand other cultures and issues of social justice, and promote racial understanding and reconciliation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Complete Caseworker Certification Program (CCP) within 120 days of hire
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and various video conferencing platforms. Proficient in Wellsky software within 90 days of hire
