Energy and Minerals Support Member - Sabine NWR/Cameron Prairie NWR

About the role

Join our team at the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge and Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge as an Energy and Minerals Support Member. This role supports the conservation efforts by managing energy and mineral activities in the refuge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate energy and mineral activities within the refuge boundaries.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations regarding energy and mineral development.
• Work closely with contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure proper environmental stewardship.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in natural resource management or a related field.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines for energy and mineral activities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with GIS software is a plus.
