Endoscopy Technologist - Endoscopy Surgery

About the role

Assists with patient care coordination in the endoscopy department, including equipment preparation, maintenance, and cleaning. May support invasive endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides service activities to support patient care in the endoscopy suite
• Maintains sterile fields
• Assists with pulling cases
• Ensures proper handling of endoscopy equipment
• Demonstrates knowledge of sterilization, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments
• Rotates shifts and accepts on-call duties as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred, including GI Tech experience
• BLS certification required
• GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred
• Ability to establish sterile fields, assist with procedures, and maintain aseptic conditions
