Technologist - Radiology

Job Summary Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, following established standards and practices. Responsibilities Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as directed by a licensed physician.Uses judgment to select and compute optimal settings for each patient.Develops and implements procedure and treatment plans in accordance with hospital protocols.Completes documentation to ensure compliance with policies.Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.Participates in performance improvement activities and monitors quality data.Completes assigned goals and performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications Completion of a recognized Radiology Technology Program.Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (ARRT(R)) or a recent graduate awaiting certification.Preferred: an associate degree in a related field.Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles and techniques, follows instructions, and organizes work efficiently.Minimum licensure includes ARRT(R), BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and applicable state license.
