Technologist - Radiology

About the role

Operates radiology equipment to perform routine diagnostic procedures, assisting in disease diagnosis and treatment in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as directed by a licensed physician.
• Exercises judgment in selecting and adjusting equipment settings for each patient.
• Develops and implements appropriate procedures and treatment plans following hospital protocols.
• Completes documentation to ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized equipment and work areas.
• Participates in performance improvement activities, collecting quality data to monitor standards.
• Achieves assigned goals and performs additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or a recent graduate awaiting certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic principles and techniques, ability to follow instructions, and organizational skills.
• Licensure including ARRT(R), BLS certification within 14 days, and state licensing as required.
