Responsibilities
- Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
- Selects and computes settings for each patient’s procedure/treatment.
- Develops and implements an appropriate procedure/treatment plan based on hospital protocols/guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care consistency with established standards.
- Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
- Completes assigned goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specifications
Experience: Minimum Required - Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
Education: Minimum Required - Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
Licensure: Minimum Required - ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
