Role Overview
The Endoscopy Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care in a collaborative surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients pre-surgery
- Educating patients and families
- Preparing patients with IV therapy and medications
- Participating in surgical site verification
- Recognizing emergencies
- Documenting patient conditions
- Working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Applying critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe care and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- RN licensure with an associate degree
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
- Call responsibilities require a 30-minute response time
