Endoscopy Nurse

About the Role

Provides specialized nursing care in the surgical and perioperative setting, evaluating patients, preparing them for surgery, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including surgeons and technologists, to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare patients for surgery
• Participate in surgical site verification
• Recognize and respond to emergencies
• Educate patients and families
• Assess patient conditions and document findings
• Maintain adherence to evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate critical thinking, technical skills, and leadership in delivering safe, effective nursing care

Requirements

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate degree in nursing
• Certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (obtained within specified timeframes)
• Ability to respond to on-call demands with a 30-minute response time
