Endoscopy Equipment Technician I
About the role
Responsible for maintaining and managing complex endoscopic equipment and related components, ensuring their availability and proper functioning for surgical procedures. Performs specialized cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of equipment. Coordinates equipment readiness by troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance, and providing technical assistance. Manages inventory, including ordering, restocking, storage, and proper labeling of supplies, while maintaining detailed records of purchases, repairs, and expenses. Supports budget reconciliation and procurement processes, including processing billing invoices and vendor inquiries. Participates in evaluating and implementing new equipment and supplies, serving on relevant committees or project teams.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) within one year of hire
