About the role

We have an immediate opening for an Endocrine Lab Tech at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. This role offers growth within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality controls, calibration, and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and document actions
  • Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents
  • Monitor supply of reagents and other materials to ensure adequate supply and order as necessary
  • Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimens and contaminated areas
  • Perform all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing
  • Provide a turnaround time to physicians of approximately two hours from specimen receipt
  • Report to work on time for scheduled hours, ready for work

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year laboratory experience
  • Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a science-related field; MLT ASCP certification or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment

Pay

$25 to $32 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule

Every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (flexible)
