About the role

We have an immediate opening for an Endocrine Lab Tech to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality controls, calibration, and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and document such actions
  • Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents
  • Monitor supply of reagents and other materials to ensure adequate supply at all times and order supplies when necessary
  • Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimens and contaminated areas
  • Perform all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing
  • Provide a turnaround time to the physicians of approximately two hours from the time specimens are received
  • Be reliable; report to work on time for scheduled hours, ready for work

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year laboratory experience
  • Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a science-related field; MLT ASCP certification or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment

Schedule

Every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (flexible)

Pay

$25 to $32 per hour, commensurate with experience
