About the role
The Endoscopy Tech assists the endoscopy team during procedures, arranges and inventories sterile set-ups, and passes items as needed. They help prepare and move patients, clean the endoscopy room, and ensure care meets identified patient outcomes and facility goals under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role also involves centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment, maintaining and tracking inventory, and storing prepared articles in designated areas. This position reports to the Charge Nurse and ASC Director.
Schedule
- Weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call
- Some later evenings required
Responsibilities
- Assist endoscopy team during procedures
- Arrange and inventory sterile set-ups for operations
- Pass items to the endoscopy team as needed
- Prepare and move patients
- Clean the endoscopy room
- Provide care to meet identified patient outcomes
- Distribute and control supplies and equipment
- Maintain and track inventory according to facility procedures
- Store prepared articles and supplies in designated areas
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Operating Room experience
- 2+ years’ experience in an established endoscopy center
- Working knowledge of standard Gastroenterology procedures
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA) or Endoscopy Tech
