Key Responsibilities
- Maintains smooth operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN).
- Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Proposes solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
- Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
- Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Required Certifications: CWF ID 443 (Network Analyst – Intermediate Level)
- Experience: 9-15 years of professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with network-related principles, including DNS, load balancing, service discovery, and secure system interconnectivity; experience with monitoring tools for performance, diagnostics, and metrics collection; expertise in enterprise platform services, including infrastructure architecture, virtualized environments, and Windows Server management; experience implementing and supporting high availability (HA) architectures, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies; knowledge of security/compliance standards such as RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD 8510; hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, LDAP, and PKI-based systems.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP or equivalent; Microsoft Certified Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; vendor-specific certifications for identity tools such as ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, or SailPoint; experience establishing ICAM within a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) framework.
Clearance Requirement
Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
Work Environment and Notes
- On-Site Work: All work must be conducted on-site in Springfield, VA.
- Program Scope: Supports on-premises enterprise IT environments, including virtualized Windows servers, MS SQL Server databases, and networking layers.
- Subcontractor Role: Responsibilities and compensation vary based on the subcontract agreement, with a competitive salary aligned to market rates and role-specific requirements.
- Target Salary Range: $120,001 - $160,000.
