Enamel Operator

Primary Responsibilities

• Rolls reel into jack, remove reels from payoff, reload reel or basket.
• Welds wire ends together to feed machine.
• Applies insulation.
• Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels.
• Sets up ovens and runs wire through machines.
• Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire, completes paperwork, records and enters data.
• Places completed reel in designated location and communicates to supervisors and associates.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Ability to use tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer.
