About the Role

This position supports the psychiatric emergency department by assisting evaluators, nurses, and physicians to enhance patient care and streamline the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient safety, vital signs, and condition
• Document patient information accurately
• Alert staff to critical patients
• Manage patient belongings and transportation
• Ensure environmental safety and cleanliness
• Facilitate communication among healthcare providers
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Participate in safety and environmental rounds
• Support multidisciplinary teamwork
• May cross-train or float to other departments

Requirements

• At least one year of direct patient care experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification preferred
