Role Overview: The EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, ensuring prompt patient care and ambulance readiness. Responsibilities include providing efficient care under a paramedic’s supervision, monitoring ambulance and equipment, communicating effectively, and maintaining a clean environment. Additional duties involve transporting patients in wheelchairs and guiding EMTs during calls. Qualifications & Skills: Valid EMT License and Driver’s License upon hire Knowledge of EMS systems and emergency response protocols Ability to pass testing and provide a letter of good standing (waived if no prior EMS experience) Certifications in NIMS 200, 700, 800, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and ERT within specified timeframes Key Duties: Respond to emergency calls to deliver immediate care Monitor ambulance readiness and cleanliness Clearly communicate crew and vehicle status Assist with patient transport and provide direction during calls
