EMT or Paramedic (Full-Time)

About the role

Medcor is seeking a full-time EMT or Paramedic to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Ridgeland, MS. This role offers the opportunity to apply your skills in a non-traditional EMS setting while working in a dynamic construction environment.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday (average 9-10 hours per shift), with rotating Saturdays from 6:00am to 2:00pm. Hours and days may vary based on client needs.

Applicants should be comfortable working in a construction environment, including climbing stairs and working at heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key corporate contacts.
• Provide patient care, manage ongoing workers’ compensation cases, facilitate Return to Work (RTW) programs, and monitor treatment plans.
• Work closely with outside medical providers.
• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic and deliver superior customer service.
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols).
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts, including pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), case management, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping using state-of-the-art EMR tools.
• Build and maintain internal team relationships.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as an EMT or Paramedic.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for patient care.
• Willingness to go above and beyond in your role.
• Ability to have fun while delivering high-quality care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort working in a construction environment.
• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EMR software.
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
