EMT or Paramedic (Full-Time)
Medcor is looking for a full-time EMT or Paramedic to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Louisa, VA. Applicants should be comfortable working in a construction environment, able to climb stairs, and work at heights as needed.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, split between Louisa, VA and Mineral, VA. Hours and days may vary based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
- Provide patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
- Work closely with outside medical providers.
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic.
- Deliver superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs).
- Build and maintain internal team relationships.
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
- Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), case management, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping.
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a construction environment.
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EMR software.
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
