Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Tucson, AZ.

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Thursday & Friday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Pay

Starts at $28.00/hour with additional earning potential based on experience.

About the role

This position involves collaborative work with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. The day-to-day role includes patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring. You will work closely with outside medical providers.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings
  • Documentation of care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
  • Case management and medical charting

Requirements

  • Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong computer and technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.) and familiarity with EMR software
  • Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
  • Relevant occupational health experience
  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
