EMT or Paramedic (Clinic)

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Willmar, MN.

Schedule

3:00pm–12:00am, Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging employees after an injury following step-by-step care protocols
• Support employees with wellness, education, and teaching
• Manage daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes
• Collaborate with the employer’s Safety Team and Human Resources
• Work with offsite medical providers such as urgent care and hospitals
• Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations
• Deliver superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (MCPs)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices
• Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues
• Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings, Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), and case management
• Maintain OSHA record-keeping
• Perform general administrative duties

Requirements

• Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic) and current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong computer and technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.) and familiarity with EMR software
• Physical ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to have fun

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
• Relevant occupational health experience
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care

Pay

$35.00–$38.00/hour

Sign-on bonus: $1,500
