Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic as an Onsite Health Technician in an employer-based, occupational health clinic in Rochelle, IL.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols – MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices
- Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues
- Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools
- Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings, Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), and case management
- Maintain OSHA record-keeping
- Handle general administrative duties
- Order supplies and follow compliance processes
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic) and current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer and technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.) and familiarity with EMR software
- Physical ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for people and providing the best care possible
- Willingness to go above and beyond
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
- Relevant occupational health experience
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
Pay
$28.00–$30.00/hour
