EMT

We’re looking for an EMT to join our medical care team, providing supportive care at the scene of accidental injury or sudden illness, transporting patients to the hospital when appropriate, and initiating corrective treatment under State Protocol or Medical Command.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification within 30 days of hire
• Current state licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician:
  • OH: Emergency Medical Technician through OH Emergency Medical Services
  • WV: Emergency Medical Technician through WV Office of Emergency Medical Services
• Nationally registered as Emergency Medical Technician as required by state board (unless state license is State License Only)
• Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (administered at department level)

Responsibilities

• Prompt and efficient response to emergency calls
• Assess the extent and nature of injuries and provide efficient pre-transfer patient care
• Assist in removing victims from accident scenes
• Safely transport patients to healthcare facilities while continuing care en-route
• Assist with vehicle maintenance, ambulance equipment, and replenish supplies
