EMT

About the Role

The Event Medicine Emergency Medical Technician provides basic life support to patients from neonate through geriatric years in the pre-hospital setting at special events. Functions as a patient care provider in conjunction with a Registered Nurse and a Paramedic, following approved departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years of experience as an EMT
• Maintain affiliation with an Emergency Medical Services pre-hospital provider that includes EMTs on staff (must be in good standing without restrictions)
• Valid driver’s license
• Current NC-EMT certification

Skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to interpret patient needs based on age, health, and developmental requirements
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
