Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, hands-on emergency medical care
• Ensure safe patient transport to medical facilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved EMT program
• Current North Carolina EMT certification
• BCLS required
• ACLS, PALS and ITLS or PHTLS preferred
• Current and valid driver’s license required and must meet the requirements of the medical center’s insurance carrier
• Must meet general hospital driving requirements and have a clean driving record with no moving violations within the last 3 years
• Annual EVO education is required to drive during emergency situations
• Minimum of one-year experience with a paid emergency services provider preferred
• Two years licensed driving experience required
• Applicants must be at least 19 years of age
• Excellent customer service skills are required
