EMS Liaison - Emergency Department

About the role

The EMS Liaison supports a Level I Trauma Center by strengthening operational and clinical alignment between Emergency Medical Services agencies and the hospital. This role ensures timely, coordinated transitions of care for high-acuity patients, supports EMS operational efficiency, and advances the organization's trauma, emergency, and specialty service capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, coordinated transitions of care for high-acuity patients
• Safeguards EMS operational efficiency
• Advances trauma, emergency, and specialty service capabilities
• Represents the trauma center within the EMS community
• Drives relationship-based problem solving
• Contributes to access, growth, and quality outcomes across the pre-hospital and acute care continuum

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited Paramedic Program
• Active Florida Paramedic license
• Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience with demonstrated expertise in community outreach, EMS coordination, or service line development

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with trauma and emergency management
• Knowledge of EMS protocols and standards
