Position Summary
The EMS Outreach Liaison at Emory Healthcare plays a critical role in developing and strengthening relationships with EMS staff and providing education to internal and external stakeholders. This position serves as a key connection between EMS organizations, healthcare teams, and hospital leadership, to support strategic growth, operational excellence, and educational outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships between Emory Healthcare ED care teams and EMS providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EMS organizations, first responders, and other related partners to support system integration and growth.
- Develop and implement outreach programs to engage EMS providers, increase awareness of Emory Healthcare services, and strengthen referral networks.
- Cook up and deliver EMS education, including training sessions, workshops, and continuing education programs for EMS personnel.
- Act as a resource for EMS crews regarding hospital processes, patient intake procedures, and clinical pathways.

- Work closely with the EHC Capacity Command Center team to optimize EMS integration into system-wide patient flow initiatives.
- Analyze EMS transport data and trends to identify opportunities for service improvements and enhanced collaboration.
- Aid in the development and implementation of initiatives that improve EMS provider experience and operational efficiency.
- Support compliance with state and federal EMS regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
- Represent Emory Healthcare at EMS conferences, community events, and industry meetings to enhance visibility and partnership opportunities.
- Participate in system-wide emergency preparedness planning and response efforts.
- Provide education and training to internal staff on EMS transport policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including state and federal EMS transport guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in EMS, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant EMS related experience. In lieu of Education: Minimum of 7 years of relevant EMS related experience.
- Certifications: Current or previous National Registry certification as a paramedic or EMT preferred.
