VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking an experienced, passionate veterinary professional to join our Emergency & Critical Care team at our 24-7 general, emergency, and specialty hospital in West Hartford, CT. As an extension of the medical and client service team, the ER Liaison is the connection between the client and the medical team. Responsibilities

• Create a streamlined process for the client to provide care to their pet
• Assist clients in understanding the estimates for their pet's medical care
• Provide a point of contact for owners while their pets are hospitalized
• Organize the documents and medications in preparation for discharges
• Perform patient discharges when applicable
• Coordinate the transfer of patients from the primary veterinarians
• Assist with acquiring patient's records from the primary veterinarians
• Ensure patient's primary veterinarians are notified and provided medical updates in a timely manner
• Monitor incoming radiology reports and blood work results to emergency doctors for follow-up
• Input and check the charges to ensure accuracy

Schedule

Full Time. Variable shifts available - weekend and evening shift availability preferred.

Pay

$20 - $25 depending on experience. Shift differentials available.
