EMS Driver

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched emergency calls and provide high-quality transportation for patients
• Inspect and maintain ambulance equipment, supplies, and cleanliness
• Assist patients onto gurneys and load/unload them safely
• Administer basic first aid, including bandaging, splinting, and oxygen therapy
• Sanitize the ambulance and dispose of medical waste properly
• Maintain detailed driving logs with patient and service information
• Report accidents or incidents to relevant authorities as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid NYS Driver's License
• AHA BLS certification
• Preferred minimum two years' ambulance driving experience

Physical Requirements

Medium work involving lifting, walking, standing, or squatting, with accommodations available for physical limitations.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
