About the role

The Vocational Services Employment Specialist II role supports individuals with disabilities in community jobs. Responsibilities include training, job coaching, assessing progress, and setting goals.

Responsibilities

  • Train individuals in job tasks
  • Provide job coaching
  • Assess progress towards job mastery
  • Develop goals and interventions to enhance independence

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of college preferred
  • State of Maine’s Job Coach Training required or obtained upon hire
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • One year experience working with individuals with disabilities required
  • Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Vocational Services – Employment Specialist I role
  • Regional travel to multiple community locations required

Qualifications

HSD/HiSet required. Two years of college preferred. State of Maine’s Job Coach Training required or achieved after hire. Valid Driver’s License required. One year experience working directly with individuals with disabilities required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Vocational Services – Employment Specialist I role.
