Opportunity Partners is a mission-focused nonprofit dedicated to positive impact, compassion, and partnership in the community. We are seeking an Employment Specialist to join our award-winning team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support people with disabilities in securing independent employment in the East Metro: North St Paul, Woodbury, and St Paul.
- Develop and coordinate a support plan to ensure our people with disabilities are successful in their independent employment.
- Aid in the development and enhancement of work skills through real-life situations.
- Help our people with disabilities grow and develop their social skills.
Qualifications
- Desired to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
- One of the following designations:
- Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older.
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older.
- A diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older.
- At least 50 hours of education and training related to human services, education, or health and four years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older.
- Valid Driver’s license.
Pay
$19.50 - $20.50 based upon years of experience
Schedule
Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
