About the role
The Vocational Services Employment Specialist IV provides Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment services to individuals receiving Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services at MaineHealth Behavioral Health in Biddeford. The Employment Specialist works as a key member of the ACT Team, integrating individuals’ vocational and educational goals into their treatment plan and providing intensive community-based support toward those goals. They also serve as a liaison to employers, developing business and community relationships in their local area.
Responsibilities
- Provide Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment services to individuals receiving Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services at MaineHealth Behavioral Health in Biddeford.

Requirements
- Education: Master's Degree in education, counseling, or social services or Bachelor's degree plus five years' experience in vocational counseling / rehabilitation required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification or obtain certification within six months from hire date required.
- Experience: Five years' experience in related field required.
