Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour matters, and whistleblower allegations.
  • Provide legal guidance on drafting, reviewing, and enforcing employment agreements, severance terms, and independent contractor arrangements.
  • Assess workplace policies and personnel practices to help clients maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Advises employers on employee classification issues to reduce exposure to regulatory penalties, audits, and related claims.
  • Supports clients through workforce changes, including reorganizations, reductions in force, and separation matters, while identifying legal risks.
  • Reviews employment contracts and workplace conditions to determine fairness, enforceability, and compliance with applicable legal standards.
  • Defends clients in disputes involving contractual breaches, grievance procedures, due process concerns, and involuntary dismissal claims.
  • Counsels businesses on employment matters involving foreign workers, employee relations, and equal employment opportunity obligations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience handling employment law and employment litigation matters.
  • Strong background in claims involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law from both employer-side and employee-side perspectives.
  • Experience advising on employment policies, contractual obligations, and termination-related documentation.
  • Familiarity with wage and hour issues, worker classification analysis, and equal employment opportunity compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and apply local employment law requirements in a practical business context.
  • Excellent legal writing, negotiation, advocacy, and client counseling skills.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of employment law and the ability to navigate sensitive matters involving compliance, contracts, workplace policies, and contested personnel actions with sound judgment and professionalism.
