Employment & Labor Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in all phases of employment litigation in state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
• Conduct and defend depositions and manage complex discovery, including eDiscovery
• Attend court appearances and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Advise employers on hiring, onboarding, discipline, terminations and employee relations
• Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance, workplace accommodations, leave management and reductions in force
• Draft employment agreements, workplace policies and other employment documentation
• Provide practical, strategic advice on federal and state employment law compliance

Who You Are

• 4th–5th year associate
• Management-side labor and employment experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA and FLSA
• Experience handling employment litigation from inception through resolution
• Employment counselling and advice experience preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding research, writing and communication skills
• Active New Jersey Bar admission

Compensation

Salary Range: $240,000 – $260,000 (DOE)
