Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in all phases of employment litigation in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct and defend depositions and manage complex discovery, including eDiscovery
- Attend court appearances and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Advise employers on hiring, onboarding, discipline, terminations and employee relations
- Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance, workplace accommodations, leave management and reductions in force
- Draft employment agreements, workplace policies and other employment documentation
- Provide practical, strategic advice on federal and state employment law compliance
Who You Are
- 4th–5th year associate
- Management-side labor and employment experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA and FLSA
- Experience handling employment litigation from inception through resolution
- Employment counselling and advice experience preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding research, writing and communication skills
- Active New Jersey Bar admission
Compensation
Salary Range: $240,000 – $260,000 (DOE)
